A short time before the interview Thomston was recording in L.A. when a culmination of the racial tensions in America and the COVID 19 pandemic forced him to make the difficult decision to move to Mexico to finish the album.
Despite turbulent times Thomston spoke articulately on both topics, shattering the myth that all pop singers do is "sing and dance around on stage."
