Newlywed Elizabeth Hurley is reportedly furious with her father-in-law for going public with their family feud.
Britain's Daily Mirror reports the recent bride is completely livid that her father-in-law Vinod Nayar spoke to the Sunday Mirror about Hurley's wedding to his son Arun Nayar.
Vinod Nayar told the paper he was severing all ties with his son and daughter-in-law following their appalling behaviour during last month's elaborate nuptials in India.
"My wife Joanne and I feel we were publicly humiliated and treated like social outcasts for the sake of a Hello! magazine deal," he told the tabloid.
"Liz and Arun have treated us very shabbily. My heart is heavy with pain."
The 66-year-old textile magnate said he and his wife Joanne were "pushed into the background like poor relations".
Speaking about Hurley, he said: "I knew she was very ambitious, but I never realised just how important fame and attention is to her."
The feud began last month when Vinod was excluded from a traditional Hindu fire ceremony, in which the groom's father welcomes the bride.
Enraged by the couple's thoughtless behaviour, Vinod then cancelled an $80,000 post-wedding party for the newlyweds and their guests.
The final blow came when Hurley rejected a $95,000 diamond and ruby necklace from Vinod and his wife, which had been specially commissioned for the British model.
Hurt by his son's behaviour, Vinod sent a letter to the couple, disowning Arun.
The letter read: "I am very upset with your rudeness and the terrible remarks you made... you have shown disrespect to me and my family plus my dear friends who have been with me since your birth.
"You and Elizabeth gave priority to people who were not very important or who were not well known to you. You disregarded me like one of your office boys."
