Lisa Marie Presley has given the idea of digitally resurrecting her late father the thumbs up.
Digital Domain Media Group, the company behind Tupac Shakur's headline-making hologram-like performance at this year's Coachella Music Festival, recently announced that it's planning to create a series of "virtual" Elvis likenesses.
DDMG said it was working with Core Media Group, which owns Elvis Presley's name and likeness for project development, to "jointly develop, produce and own a series of 'virtual' Elvis Presley likenesses for a range of entertainment projects - from shows and appearances to film, TV and multi-platform productions throughout the world".
Elvis Presley Enterprises, a division of Core Media Group, said in a statement: "This is a new and exciting way to bring the magic and music of Elvis to life.
