British singer Lily Allen is coming to New Zealand for one show in Auckland, as part of her Australasian tour.
The much-loved pop star is coming fresh from the June release of her latest album No Shame, to play her first show in New Zealand since 2010.
The album was a kind of reset for the artist who says it was a chance to "get the bullshit away and make it as truthful as possible", addressing the end of her marriage, being a mother, partying too hard, making and losing friends and more.
"When I started writing the record I was in a sad, dark place, and this record could almost be starting at midnight, and getting through to the end of the day. It's been cathartic for me. There's no two ways about it. It starts in a dark place, for a reason, then ends up in a more optimistic place, for a reason," she says.
