Rapper Lil Wayne has reportedly been booted off a private jet after lighting up a marijuana cigarette minutes after takeoff.
The pilot of the plane turned the flight around at Fort Lauderdale airport and landed again shortly after detecting the smell of marijuana in the cabin. It's believed he had warned the rapper that smoking marijuana was not allowed during the flight, according to the TMZ celebrity gossip news website.
Wayne apparently ignored that admonition and lit up the joint anyway along with several members of his entourage.
The pilot, who was not identified, objected to the situation and 17 minutes after takeoff landed the plane once again at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, after which Wayne and his group were forced to disembark.
The Grammy-winning singer served time in prison for illegal weapons possession after a loaded pistol was found in the bus in which he was making his musical tour in 2007.
