KEY POINTS:
Alt-country rocker Ryan Adams and his band the Cardinals return to New Zealand in February in celebration of his new album, Cardinology.
Adams plays February 3 at the Wellington Opera House and the Powerstation in Auckland the night after.
He last played here in August, 2007, at the Bruce Mason Centre which proved to be a great show - if a little dark thanks to scant lighting.
Since Cardinology is meant to be his most focused album in a while, hopefully he sheds a little more light on proceedings this time round.
Tickets go on sale November 28 from Ticketmaster (Auckland) and Ticketek (Wellington), with a Frontier Touring pre-sale from 2pm November 26-2pm Nov 27.
Meanwhile, former At the Drive-In member Jim Ward will play in New Zealand in December. When the hardcore band collapsed in 2001, with some of its members going on to form the Mars Volta, Ward started up Sparta and is now performing solo as Sleepercar, releasing debut album, West Texas, earlier this year.
Ward plays the Dogs Bollix in Auckland on December 10 with tickets $20 from undertheradar.co.nz
