Lesley Bandy gets paid to watch toned, naked men dance every night - and reckons life doesn't get much better.
The Kiwi is production manager for the Chippendales - 10 scantily clad men who dance, sing and strip for thousands of screaming women every night.
"It is the best job in the world," she says. "I'm travelling the world with great, generous guys who are nice to look at, too."
The former Aucklander, who lives in Las Vegas, was asked to work on the European tour after running shows in the United States, Canada and South America.
"We live very close together in the tour bus so it's like a family with a few minor squabbles here and there, but it's lots of fun," she says.
"I have 10 husbands, sometimes 10 children."
She says part of her job involves watching women lose themselves over the hunky performers.
"There are always girls around them and they are extremely straight guys but they treat everyone so well. When we go to the bar they'll sign photos and stop for pictures.
"They treat ladies the same, whether they are a gorgeous young thing or someone's aunt or grandmother."
But the job involves much more than eye candy.
"We finish the show around midnight. I might work some more after that and get to bed around 2 or 3am, then up again at 8am," she says.
"I find out where dressing rooms are, make sure technicians have everything they need in advance. I fix things...keep an eye on the show itself and keep up everyone's morale."
Bandy's entertainment career began in Devonport with award-winning dance teacher Doreen O'Leary. She attended the Scottish Ballet School in Edinburgh before joining the Royal Ballet in London.
She returned to New Zealand briefly last year and hopes to be back in June.
