Liam Gallagher reveals he's never met his 20-year-old daughter: 'It ain't happening'

Liam Gallagher has revealed that he's never met his 20-year-old daughter Molly, who was conceived during an affair with musician Lisa Moorish four months into his marriage to actress Patsy Kensit.

The Oasis star, on the promotional trail for his forthcoming debut solo album, told GQ that his relationship with Moorish has been so difficult that he has been apparently unable to meet Molly at all in the past two decades.

"She's had her day in the sun," Gallagher sneered about his ex, before adding, "The kid I haven't seen. We'll see one day, but, no, not seen her."

"But if I met her, she'd be cool. She's welcome in my world and that, you know what I mean? Without a doubt. But I just ain't met her because her mam's... Listen, we don't work. We don't get on. I would be [willing to meet her], yes. I mean, I'm open to everything. But at the moment it ain't happening."

He did insist that he has taken good financial care of Molly, however.

"Got no problem with the girl whatsoever," he said. "The girl's been looked after and clothed and fed and sent to lovely schools. I bought them a house and all that tack. I just think she's best off with her mum... They aren't good when they are forced, these things. I think we leave it be. See what happens. If it happens it happens. Certainly, wouldn't turn her away, man. Let it be."

Additionally, something that may have only further antagonised the notoriously fraught relationship between Liam and his brother Noel is that the latter is a presence in Molly's life. In June, Moorish posted an image on her Instagram of a meeting between Noel and Molly, with Moorish referring to him as "Uncle Noel", and using the hashtag "#FAMILYFIRST" in potentially purposeful capital letters.

The photograph followed a since-deleted tweet in which Moorish condemned Gallagher's parenting while defending Noel Gallagher's right to not perform at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester benefit concert in June.

"Maybe he's busy looking after his kids and the daughter you've never even met!" Moorish tweeted, before signing off with her own take on Gallagher's famous Twitter sign-off. "AS YOU WERE x LM."
