Leonardo DiCaprio is turning an uninhabited island into an eco-resort.
The Wolf of Wall Street star bought Blackadore Caye island, off the coast of Belize in Central America, after visiting the site to dive in 2005 and has revealed he has plans to "change the world" by making it into an environmentally-friendly holiday resort.
He said: "It was like heaven on earth. And almost immediately, I found this opportunity to purchase an island there. The main focus is to do something that will change the world.
"I couldn't have gone to Belize and built on an island and done something like this, if it weren't for the idea that it could be groundbreaking in the environmental movement."
The 40-year-old actor will convert the 104-acre wild island into a beautiful luxury resort with villas and infinity pools but Leonardo is most excited about the stunning marine life surrounding the island.
