John Lennon's piano was put on display outside a Texas prison where an execution was being held in the nation's most-active death penalty state.
"The piano is a symbol of peace. We're taking it to places where extreme situations of violence have occurred,"said Caroline True, creative director for a possible book and documentary about the piano and its travels.
It has also been to Memphis to mark the anniversary of Martin Luther King jnr's slaying.
