Method Man has been on the scene since his time with the Wu-Tang Clan in the early 90s, before later going solo and then teaming up with Redman. He's also acted in a host of films and TV shows including How High, Garden State and HBO's The Wire.
And Redman - of Def Squad fame - released his debut album Whut? Thee Album in 1992 - around the same time as Method took off with Wu-Tang - and ushered in a new sound rooted in funk.
