KEY POINTS:
Fergie and fiance Josh Duhamel have sparked pregnancy rumours after being given baby gifts.
Actress Eva Longoria and singer Gwen Stefani have also been pictured this week sporting what US gossip magazines insist are 'tell tale baby bumps'.
Duhamel, who has been dating the London Bridge singer for three years, was celebrating the 100th episode of his hit US TV show Las Vegas when Mayor Oscar Goodman presented him with a pair of baby's shoes.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Mayor Goodman gave Josh a pair of baby Crocs sandals for his future baby with fiancée Fergie. Everyone is saying she is pregnant."
During the event, held at Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort Hotel, Mayor Goodman also handed the key of the city to the cast.
Fergie has previously spoken of her desire to settle down and start a family.
She said: "It is one of my dreams to have babies with Josh. It will be so special when it happens."
The couple announced their engagement last month, and Fergie showed off her impressive diamond ring when she performed in Atlantic City just days later.
She said: "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I'm thrilled! I'm not giving any details. I think the fine points are sacred. It's just important to us. It's hard for me to stay quiet though because I have a big mouth!"
The 32-year-old singer recently revealed she is planning to spend more time with her family.
She added: "It's important for me to see more of my family, see more of my sister, my mom and dad."
Meanwhile both Gwen Stefani and Eva Longoria have denied reports they are expecting, with Longoria blaming the 'baby bump' pictures on the current Hollywood writer's strike.
Eva said: "No pregnancy, not yet. I've been cooking and eating, cooking and eating. I keep telling everyone that I've gained 10 pounds just being on strike."
Stefani's representative has also denied rumours she is expecting her second child with husband Gavin Rossdale, telling Us Magazine, "She's not pregnant."
Stefani and Rossdale, 42, have a 20-month-old son, Kingston.
Despite her denial, 32-year-old Eva Longoria - who married basketball star Tony Parker in Paris last July - arrived to a Santa Monica press conference for her new movie Over Her Dead Body wrapped in a pink baby blanket.
She explained: "I know if this isn't going to spawn pregnancy rumours, I don't know.
"I was freezing, so I had to run down to the gift shop, and they didn't have any wraps. I grabbed this and was like, 'It's so soft, but why is it so small?!' And they said, 'It's for a baby.' "
Eva insists she and Tony are hoping to start a family together in the near future.
She said: "We're not really on a time clock, and going, 'OK, this month, this day.'
"We're kind of just going, 'We would be so happy if we get pregnant, and if we don't we're OK.' We're just letting God decide it."
