Check out the local and international acts performing at the 2014 Laneway Festival, taking place at Auckland's Silo Park.
That rumour mill can stop turning, because Laneway Festival has made its first official line-up announcement this morning, and it's looking like a top day of music.
Come Monday January 27 (Auckland's Anniversary Day), Silo Park will be filled with the sounds of an array of indie acts, including some big international and local names.
The maestro of heart-wrenching, melodic, electro-fuelled anthems, British singer-songwriter James Blake is returning (he played a sold out show at the Auckland Town Hall in August) to headline the more indie oriented festival.
He's joined by wizard producer Jamie xx - his xx band mates won't be coming, but we can expect a throbbing DJ set full of his sought-after remixes.
Third on the list, and perhaps the biggest coup (Big Day Out were unable to nab her) is the much talked about Lorde.
If you haven't heard, the Takapuna lass is breaking music records all over the show, with Royals currently sitting at number 1 in the US iTunes charts ahead of Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus.
Also coming for their first show in New Zealand are Californian sister-rock trio Haim, who have made waves with their folk meets RnB debut album Days Are Gone.

Fellow Californian, and member of notorious rap collective Odd Future, Earl Sweatshirt will make his first solo appearance, as will eclectic Detroit rapper Danny Brown.
And rounding out the longer-than-usual list of hip-hoppers are Run The Jewels, a duo formed by underground masters El-P and Killer Mike earlier this year.
On the psychedlic pop rock front, there's plenty to please punters, with Ruban Nielson's Unknown Mortal Orchestra returning from abroad, Philadelphia troubadour Kurt Vile, Australian three-piece Jagwar Ma, fellow Aussie quartet The Jezabels, verging-on-veteran Scottish rockers Frightened Rabbit, and rising Scottish trio Chvrches.

Another trio making the trip is British band Daughter, who'll beguile with their beautiful, brooding songs, and there's Melbourne ukulele-pop man Vance Joy, or if you want some avant-garde hypnotic ambience, check out Youth Lagoon.
Flying the flag for punk are London all-girl five piece Savages, and New York rockers Parquet Courts, and there's plenty of EDM (electronic dance music) to keep the ravers happy too, with English duo Mount Kimbie, and Florida's XXYYXX.
On the local front, appearing will be psych-fuzz rockers Ghost Wave, art-pop diva Watercolours, Christchurch trip-hop duo Doprah, ripping punk band PCP Eagles, and mischievous rockers Rackets.
Tickets will be available through a Visa Entertainment pre-sale from midday 12 on Monday September 30, and tickets will officially go on sale at 9am on Thursday October 3 through lanewayfestival.co.nz and Ticketek.
