Multi award-winning New Zealand artist Ladyhawke has scored a nomination at the 2010 Brit Awards.
The Masterton-born singer, whose real name is Phillipa Brown, has been nominated in the category for international female solo artist.
Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine and Pixie Lott also lead the nominations.
The female quartet, along with boy band JLS, each received three nods when the shortlist was announced for this year's ceremony, which takes place in London next month.
Lily and Florence Welch will go head-to-head in the British Female and British Album - for It's Not Me, It's You and Lungs respectively - categories.
Lily is also in the running for British Single for The Fear, while Florence - last year's Critics' Choice Award winner - got the nod for Breakthrough Act, in which she will compete against Pixie.
Pixie, 19, is also nominated for British Female, as well as British Single for Mama Do.
JLS - who shot to fame after coming second in UK reality TV contest The X Factor in 2008 - were delighted to be nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Group and British single for Beat Again.
Speaking at the BRIT Awards nominations launch at London's IndigO2, singer Oritse Williams said: "We're happy to be here and we've been invited to perform - we've been watching since we were little kids and it's just an amazing event. We're just going to enjoy every moment."
His bandmate Aston Merrygold added to BANG Showbiz: "It's actually around my birthday so hopefully we'll double up and have a JLS party."
Lady Gaga leads the way in the international categories, nominated for International Breakthrough Act, International Female Solo Artist and
International Album for The Fame.
Dizzee Rascal, Jay-Z, Paolo Nutini, La Roux, Empire of the Sun and Animal Collective are all nominated for two gongs each.
Ellie Goulding has already been confirmed as this year's Critics' Choice winner, while Robbie Williams - who is nominated in the British Male category - will pick up the coveted Outstanding Contribution To Music honour.
Comic Peter Kay will present the awards on February 16 at London's Earls Court.
