Plans to reboot David Bowie's iconic 1986 film Labyrinth have been revealed - and fans of the original aren't happy about it.
The remake, confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, comes after a deal was made between Sony's TriStar company and The Jim Henson Co, with a script written by Nicole Perlman.
Despite being a flop at the time, the original Labyrinth - directed by Jim Henson and produced by George Lucas - became a cult hit years later thanks to Bowie's camp performance as the Goblin King in a film that also starred a young Jennifer Connelly.
Bowie penned five songs for the film, and Henson provided puppets that played many of the film's main characters.
The reboot news comes just weeks after Bowie's death from cancer at the age of 69.
