The second album by Port Chalmers singer-songwriter Nadia Reid is better than records by Kendrick Lamar, Queens of the Stone Age and The National.
That's according to Mojo magazine, who ranked Reid's highly acclaimed record Preservation No. 2 on its list of the 50 best albums of 2017.
Mojo praised Reid's album for being full of "heartbreak, wise introspection, lyrical observation, fluid folk guitars and hook filled pop smarts".
Reid isn't the only Kiwi to make the list's top 10 with Aldous Harding's Party ranked at No. 10. Mojo called it "magical" and "eccentric".
