Louise, who plays Monique Strutter on Shortland Street, had her co-star Rebekah Randell in attendance, as well as her 2022 Celebrity Treasure Island co-star, former Boss Babes star Iyia Liu.
Louise wore a mini white dress and veil at her themed lunch, which included a pink table setting with matching flowers, a fabulous pink cake and Barbie-themed packaged sunglasses for each guest.
A departure from the Barbie movie theme was a pink “burn book” for Louise (a nod to the infamous book of gossip and rumours from the 2004 movie Mean Girls).
The champagne flowed for Louise and her pink posse as they cruised in a jumbo white limousine, with the party ending up at drag queen dinner theatre Caluzzi Cabaret on Karangahape Rd.
Next month, Louise and Read’s nuptials will take place at Tu Ngutu Villa, a clifftop home in Mahurangi, just north of Auckland, nearly 10 years after the pair met (Read interviewed Louise for a bartending job at a Britomart bar).
Louise described their first meeting during a pre-wedding interview with Woman’s Day. “He was super-charming and kind. He offered me a trial, but I’d never worked in hospo and was terrible!”
Another wedding to watch on the horizon is that of Liam Stewart, son of former supermodel Rachel Hunter and rocking Sir Rod Stewart, to his Californian sweetheart Nicole Artukovich.
Last July, nearly two months after welcoming their first son, Louie Mark Roderick Stewart, Liam proposed to Artukovich, with both announcing their engagement on Instagram.
Earlier this month, Artukovich had her fun-filled bachelorette weekend in Las Vegas. Her matron-of-honour created a Stewart Social Club, a disco and a bunnies’ night.
This week, Artukovich and son Louie were with her fiance’s dad Sir Rod – alongside his wife Penny Lancaster and their boys Alastair and Aiden – to watch ice hockey professional Liam play in the United Kingdom.
Liam’s team Milton Keynes Lightning won the National Ice Hockey League National Cup.
Sir Rod, with his three sons, posted a picture of the celebrations on his Instagram, saying he was as proud as a father could be.
Meanwhile, Liam’s mum Rachel Hunter was just back home in New Zealand from India, hosting yoga retreats last week, and this week joining daughter Renee to do more retreats in Bali.
When Artukovich shared her bachelorette party on Instagram, she told her followers her wedding is to be in June. But will Rach and Rod’s son tie the knot in the US or the UK?
Last year, Stewart reportedly put his magnificent Beverly Park, Los Angeles manor up for sale at US$80 million (around $133,400,000). It was the home Hunter shared with him during their marriage.
Stewart and Lancaster reportedly have a luxurious mansion in Epping Forest in the UK. The 18th-century home has 10 bedrooms, a rose garden, a croquet lawn and a football pitch.
