Taika Waititi and Jemaine's Clement's movie What We Do in the Shadows has won a Toronto Film Festival award.
The vampire mockumentary won the People Choice Award in the Midnight Madness category of the festival.
Clement was typically off-beat during his acceptance speech, using the occasion to name and shame vampire hunters and to plead for an end to the "barbaric sport".
The best picture prize went to Norwegian director Morten Tyldum's The Imitation Game, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch in a role critics have predicted could win him an Oscar.
