A Kiwi and an Aussie have been tasked with bringing the fairytale romance of Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark to life in a new TV movie.
New Zealand actor Ryan O'Kane is set to play Denmark's dashing crown prince, who met his Aussie love in a Sydney pub during the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Australian actor Emma Hamilton will star as Tasmanian-born Mary Donaldson in Network Ten's Mary, The Making of a Princess.
Filming for the biopic is scheduled to kick off from July 20.
