The Kiwi-born model who gave birth to actor Jude Law's baby this week has revealed her life became a "complete nightmare" when news of the pregnancy broke.
Samantha Burke, 24, gave birth to Law's fourth child, a daughter named Sophia, on Tuesday.
Burke, who was born in Christchurch, made international headlines in August when her pregnancy was exposed. She went into hiding at her mother Lea's Florida home.
However she spoke candidly about the attention on her blog.
" Every night before I fall asleep I hope that I wake up and none of this is happening. My life feels like a complete nightmare."
Law had a fling with Burke in New York while he filmed Sherlock Holmes. She is reportedly selling the story of her fling and photos of Sophia, but denied she was a "gold digger".
"When I found out I was pregnant ... I didn't jump for joy because I 'hit the jackpot'. I cried my eyes out," she blogged.
Burke did not respond to an email from the Herald on Sunday and there was no answer at her mother's house. Her grandmother Dolores Burke had not seen the baby.
"It's only just been born ... I haven't talked to her ... she's doing fine," she said yesterday.
