Kiwi actress Melanie Lynskey has joined the cast of FX's Mrs America, led by Australian acting royalty Cate Blanchett.
The series is set to follow the movement to pass the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in 1972, which was opposed by outspoken conservative Phyllis Schlafly, played by Blanchett.
According to Variety, Lynskey is one of 11 renowned actresses and actors who have joined the all-star cast of the series, which is expected to launch in 2020.
Lynskey will play Rosemary Thomson, a homemaker close to Schlafly who joined her fight to oppose the ERA.
