Kiwi actor Martin Henderson has graduated from his days on Shortland Street to join the cast of Grey's Anatomy.
Henderson will appear in the 12th season of show as a new lead doctor, reports Deadline.
This will mark the first season without Patrick Dempsey, who starred as Dr 'McDreamy'.
There have been little details about the New Zealand actor's Grey's character, but Deadline reported it's likely that he will fill the gap of Dempsey, possibly playing a new surgeon in the medical drama.
Henderson most recently starred in the TV drama Secrets and Lies and is also set to appear in the disaster thriller movie, Everest.
