KEY POINTS:
Kiwi kids are being given a starring role on the new Nickelodeon show PICME, which debuts on Nick Jr next month.
The animated series for preschoolers will see the faces of local toddlers superimposed into the programme, alongside Gerty the giraffe and Neville the elephant.
Each day, a new "star for the day" will appear on the five-minute episode.
"We will be looking for just over 100 Kiwi pre-schoolers to take part in the PICME series," said Lauren Nola from Nickelodeon.
The series debuts on Mother's Day - May 13 - and will run throughout 2007.
