Kiwi Joe Naufahu's fiery demise on Game of Thrones

Kiwi actor Joe Naufahu has made another appearance the latest episode of Game of Thrones, and things quickly heated up.

Naufahu, who made his debut in the sixth season of Thrones as Dothraki leader Khal Moro, appeared in a pivotal scene with Emilia Clarke who portrays the character Daenerys Targaryen.

When we last saw Daenerys - a former Khaleesi (Dothraki Queen) - she had been captured by Khal Moro and his Dothraki men and taken to the holy city of Vaes Dothrak, where she was supposed to live out the rest of her days with the other Khaleesi widows after her husband, Khal Drogo died.

However, the Mother of Dragons did not follow the rules and her fate could turn out much worse.

In the scene, Daenerys was brought before Khal Moro to face judgement but things quickly changed when Daenerys tipped over the temple torches, causing the whole place to burn down. Khal Moro and his men tried in vain to escape, but only Daenerys walked out unburnt and alive. All the Dothraki then bow before her.

It's a great moment for Daenerys' character, but it also looks like this will be the last we see of Joe Naufahu on the show.

Speaking to Fox Naufahu revealed that this is the end of his stint on Thrones.

"I got burnt to a crisp," he said during the Fox TV segment, "I'm done."

"Everyone kinda knew that there was going to come a time when the Dothraki and Daenerys were going to bump heads, and there was only going to be one winner really. I think the way that we got taken out - we got burnt - I think people were expecting it to be by the dragons, right? So that was the little twist in it."

In an interview with the NZ Herald, Naufahu says he really happy with the role he played on the show.

"It's a good role. There's some good meat in there, I'm really happy with what I've done."

As for Clarke, she told Entertainment Weekly that she was excited to do the scene.

"It's so exciting, very tingly-making," she said. "Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment. I just stand up and I go, 'I'm hearing what you're all saying, but funny thing, I'm going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket and now I win.'"
