New Zealand hip-hop film Born to Dance will step out for the first time at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The movie, which stars Stan Walker and features a cast performing the "Polyswagg" moves of renowned choreographer-dancer Parris Goebel, will premiere next month at the festival in the programme's Discovery section.
It is the first feature from director and former Outrageous Fortune star Tammy Davis.
"The fact that we have made it to this A-list festival is a real tribute to all the hard work put in by the cast and crew," he said. "I am excited that the first screening of the film will be with an international audience and I hope they love it as much as I do."
Toronto is one of the major North American festivals and has provided an international launch pad for New Zealand films including Whale Rider and last year's The Dead Lands.
