Two New Zealand films that made the Oscars long-list, have missed out on going to next month's Academy Awards, after the short-list was announced this morning.
The Six Dollar Fifty Man, by Wellington based film-makers Mark Albiston and Louis Sutherland, made the ten-strong long-list in the Best Live Action Short Film category late last year.
Similarly, This Way Of Life, by Thomas Burstyn and Barbara Sumner-Burstyn made the long-list for Best Documentary Feature.
This Way Of Life's Facebook page simply said "Disappointed but not defeated!"
*The Six Dollar Fifty Man screens tonight at 10.25pm on Sky's Rialto Channel
