Indie pop export Sia will sing live at the awards at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre ahead of her national tour.
Adelaide-born Sia has found success in the US recently, after performing on The Late Show with David Letterman and receiving rave reviews on Perez Hilton's website.
She is nominated for the best independent spirit award.
They join event headliners The Killers and red carpet host Audrina Patridge from The Hills at the star-studded bash on March 27.
As a gesture of support for all of those affected by the Victorian bushfires, MTV has put a large proportion of tickets to the awards night on sale for A$50 ($64.52), with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
