The mermaid-silhouette gown that featuring delicate white lace was custom-made by Givenchy Haute Couture. Small panels of a sheer lace decorated the arm and waist.
The backless dress was long-sleeved with a train, while a dramatic flowing white cathedral-length silk veil completed the look. The bride's hair was worn loose and long, with her make-up restrained and flawless.
What isn't shown are Kardashian's toes, which have had "toebesity" liposuction, according to the Daily Mail.
Apparently the reality TV star was so desperate to slip into her wedding shoes that she reportedly spent £3000 (NZ$5890) splashing out on toe lipo. The operation has been dubbed the "Loub job", in honour of famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin, whose designs can be extremely narrow and pointy.
Meanwhile during the wedding, famed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli serenaded Kardashian and West with several of his songs, including Con te Partiro.
Speaking moments after the ceremony to E! News, who film the family's reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kardashian's mother Kris said she was "beyond bursting with happiness for Kim, Kanye and baby North".
"Such a magical, romantic wedding," she added. "I feel blessed to have my new son and his family as part of ours."
And West seemed equally ebullient, with a source telling MailOnline he gave an eight-minute speech to the gathered guests.
"I just wanna stop the music a second 'cos my baby's coming back with a new dress on. Here she is - Kim Kardashian West," he said, introducing his bride.
After the ceremony, the happy couple and their wedding party enjoyed a lavish reception, which included a four-course meal and seven-tiered wedding cake at a 70-metre-long marble banquet table - a gift from master craftsman Gualtiero Vannelli who used marble from the Tuscan quarry in Carrara, according to Us Weekly.
The pair's first dance was to All of Me, which was performed live by their friend John Legend, who raised a toast to them before joining the crowds in the wedding photo booth.
Following their wedding celebrations - which started in Paris, France, last Friday - the couple have now moved on to Ireland, where they are enjoying a honeymoon in Cork, Ireland, staying at the exclusive Castlemartyr Resort.
However some Cork locals have been teasing the entertainment channel E!, posting fake sightings of the famous pair on Twitter.
@TimmyRyanpage wrote: "Just saw @KimKardashian taking a poster of @damiengeoghegan off a pole outside #Dungarvan ! #kinky #election2014" while @MrPaudie85 suggested he "Just saw kanye west coming outta centra #BreakfastRolls #Yeezus #KimBeHungry".
Obviously keen to keep ahead of Kimye's every move, an E! News intern started responding to the tweets, asking for the celebrity-spotters to get in touch, obviously missing the Irish humour of the Tweets.
