Kiefer Sutherland will be replaced by Straight Outta Compton and The Walking Dead star Corey Hawkins in the next season of 24.
Sutherland starred as hard man action star Jack Bauer across nine gripping seasons of the realtime show, but the tenth season is introducing new blood.
The Independent reported Hawkins, who was Dr Dre in the NWA biopic, will play the role of Eric Carter - "a military hero who returns home from deployment to discover trouble has followed him".
He requests the help of the Counter Terrorist Unit, and - stop us if you've heard this plot on the show before - becomes involved in plans to foil a terrorist attack.
Sutherland's last role as Bauer was in the show's ninth season, which was cut down to just 12 episodes and moved locations to London.
