Teen actress Chloe Grace Moretz has blasted pranksters for spreading false rumours online suggesting she has fallen to her death in Switzerland.
The actress known for her roles in Kick-Ass and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, was shocked to receive phone calls from panicked friends and relatives on Sunday after the fake news surfaced on the internet.
In a series of angry posts Moretz made it clear she is in fact alive.
"I don't know who made this up but you're disgusting.I am not dead.I did not die from snowboarding. It isn't even snowing here in Switzerland. I've had my loved ones calling crying to check and see if I'm alive. Don't make this up. It's not real.I am fully alive and here. You're sick".
Moretz is the latest in a long line of celebrities who have fallen victim to death hoaxes - Jim Carrey, Mickey Rourke, Jeff Goldblum and Sylvester Stallone have also been targeted in recent years.
