I was sorry to hear that my old mate and colleague Murray Deaker is leaving his telly show immediately and his radio show at the end of the year. Sorry for me, glad for him.
I'll miss his robust, direct, straight-as-an arrow style of broadcasting and I'll miss the chats we have when we come in to work to take over from him.
You always know where you are with Muzz and you can have differences of opinion with a lot of humour and no hard feelings. He's never been one to shy away from his own frailties and he's been generous in offering assistance for those people who want help getting rid of their demons.
I was pleased that he could see that broadcasting isn't the be-all and end-all - that a gorgeous wife and a lovely family are more important than the job - even if it is a sports nut's dream job.
I hope he has a wonderful time - and I look forward to sharing a celebratory lime and soda with him when he signs off for the final time.
