Kelis arrested for disrupting police operation

Singer Kelis has been charged in Miami with trying to disrupt a police operation after she rushed toward officers screaming racial profanities.

Police were questioning a group of men that included her husband, the rapper Nas, about two suspected female prostitutes who were spotted in the area when the singer ran towards them, shouting.

The officers asked Kelis to step away, but she continued shouting.

She then rushed toward them and had to be restrained by her friends.
