KEY POINTS:
Keisha Castle Hughes has been at the Berlin Film Festival for the world premiere of her next film, Hey Hey It's Esther Blueburger.
The Australian teen comedy was selected for a section of the festival dedicated to films from the viewpoint of the young.
Castle Hughes, who plays the title character's best friend, Sunni, was at the premiere screening, though newcomer Daniell Catanzariti, who plays Esther, couldn't make the trip - she's part of the Cate Blanchett-directed Sydney Theatre Company production of play The Blackbird which is heading to the New Zealand Festival of the Arts in Wellington next week.
Catanzariti's Esther is the outsider at her snooty private college who befriends the state-educated Sunni and decides to switch schools, unbeknown to her dysfunctional family. Toni Colettte stars as Sunni's mum.
The film goes on release in Australia next month and in New Zealand later in the year.
