Kate Hudson is pregnant with her third child, a daughter; the father is her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.
The 38-year-old daughter of Goldie Hawn broke the news on Friday on social media while sharing a video with Danny and friends.
The Almost Famous actress said she could no longer hide the news as she was starting to show and she was 'exhausted' from making such a fuss about it, reports Daily Mail.
Kate is in a white dress and Danny is in dark clothes with a sling on his arm as they are holding black balloons with questions marks on them in their back yard.
The Marshall actress pops a balloon and out come small pink balloons, which was her baby girl reveal.
She began her post: "SURPRISE!!! If you've wondered why I've been so absent on my social channels it's because I have never been more sick! It's was the most sick first trimester of all my children."
She already has son Ryder Robinson, 14, with rocker Chris Robinson, and son Bingham Hawn Bellamy, six, with musician Matt Bellamy.
The Oscar nominee added: "Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food instagrams make me queezy and thinking too much about insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been."
The blonde beauty added: "If you've seen me out and about smiling and pretending like everything is amazing...I was lying! BUT! I have broken through on the other end of that and rediscovering the joys of insta/snap."
The Bride Wars actress then said: "We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible but I'm a poppin now! And it's too darn challenging to hide, and frankly hiding is more exhausting then just coming out with it! My kids, Danny, myself and the entire family are crazy excited! A little girl on the way."
In late March Kate said she wanted a third child when she talked to The Times.
"I'd like to [have more children]! I'm not done yet. A girl would be fun," she gushes in the interview, quickly adding though: "We'll see. We'll see how many Danny wants."
The How To Lose a Guy in 10 Day' actress was 24 when she had her first child and admits that makes her feel different to her friends as they're only just starting their families now, though she has no regrets.
She explained: "I've only ever been a mom! I never had an adult life without kids. My friends had their whole twenties -- they're all just getting pregnant now. But everything I've experienced has been great, albeit not conventional, including my childhood."
With her own acting background and her sons' fathers being musicians, Kate, who is the daughter of Hollywood icon Hawn, is not surprised that both her sons seem destined to be performers when they grow up.
She said: "Oh, yeah! I definitely believe it's in the DNA. It's just what you know, it's in your gut and you just pursue it."
