British actress Kate Beckinsale scored her big Hollywood breakthrough 15 years ago in the blockbuster Pearl Harbor - but her less-than-fond memories of working with director Michael Bay live on to this day.
Bay, famed for directing brash blockbusters like Transformers and Bad Boys, was "baffled" by Beckinsale's looks, the actress revealed on The Graham Norton Show over the weekend.
"I don't think I fit the type of actress Michael Bay had met before," she said. "I think he was baffled by me because my boobs weren't bigger than my head and I wasn't blonde.
"I'd just had my daughter and had lost weight, but was told that if I got the part, I'd have to work out," she continued. "And I just didn't understand why a 1940s nurse would do that."
