Justin Timberlake has kind of admitted he hooked up with a Spice Girl

The 'N Sync boys sat on the couch of US daytime TV queen Ellen DeGeneres this week and spilt some secrets that had been buried since the 1990s.

The band played the classic "Never Have I Ever" game with Ellen and one of the questions asked them if they'd ever "hooked up with a Spice Girl".

JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass were all quick to respond they hadn't.

Justin Timberlake... not so much.

Timberlake was visibly coy about the subject but, when Ellen put up her own "I Have" paddle near him, he briefly matched with his own "I have" paddle too.

Social media users have been busy trying to figure out which of the Spice Girls Timberlake had a fling with - and most signs point towards Baby Spice Emma Bunton.

In an interview with Grazia magazine a few years ago, Bunton was asked if she had hooked up with Timberlake. Her reply: "no comment".

There is also footage of Baby Spice talking to Jonathan Ross in 2004 and describing a brief affair with the US singer.
