Julie Andrews says writing her life story from the music halls of London to Broadway stardom was "daunting to say the least". The heroine of The Sound Of Music and Mary Poppins "vividly recreates the years before the movies" in Home: A Memoir, her publisher said.
Andrews, 72, said her autobiography was 10 years in the making. The publishers say the autobiography is "an honest, touching and revealing memoir of the early life of a true icon".
