Judy Bailey and John Hawkesby to host concert for Christchurch

Former television newsreaders Judy Bailey and John Hawkesby will team up gain next month to host a fundraising concert for the victims of the Christchurch earthquake.

To Christchurch With Love, to be held at Auckland's Bruce Mason Centre on April 2, will star Britain's Got Talent singer Paul Potts and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, as well as Dame Malvina Major, The Lady Killers, Tim Beveridge, Shane Cortese, Ray Woolf, Rikki Morris, Gray Bartlett, Robyn Malcolm, Goldenhorse, Hilary Barry and Elizabeth Marvelly.

Bailey and Hawkesby first teamed up on regional magazine show Top Half in the 1970s and went on to become the nation's top newsreaders.

All money raised from the concert will be donated to the New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal.
