, after a furious phone row with Andre over access to his children.

Reports surfaced yesterday of a downright nasty phone conversation between Reid and Andre, during which the cage-fighter was alleged to have threatened to "sort out" the Aussie singer.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

Andre had apparently called his ex on her mobile, after growing increasingly frustrated at not being able to track down her nanny to fix a time to access his kids.

When Jordan saw her ex's name flash up on her mobile she passed it on to Reid, who reportedly went berserk, pumped up his oh-so-manly chest and barked at Andre: "I'm the man of the house now!"

The normally mild-mannered singer retorted, allegedly calling Reid "pathetic", and said, "Look mate, there's lots of people who want to break your legs," according to Britain's

Sun

newspaper.

At which point Reid reportedly "snarled his threat" to Andre - swearing he would sort him out if their paths ever crossed.

But Jordan is playing the fix-up fairy and has defended her lover on Twitter, saying: "Pete said, 'I'm gonna break your f***ing legs - watch your back'. Alex is a gentle guy and Pete is not the sweet guy he always portrays.

"His true colours are starting to come out, thank God."

A snitch told the

: "Peter was a bit worried about how the call ended. No one wants a cage fighter issuing threats like that.

"He was not happy being kept in the dark about the kids. They are his life."

Speaking out

But Andre has denied Jordan's claims, although he admits he did lose his temper after not being able to speak to his two kids, son

TV show, Andre said: "For five days I was not allowed to speak to my kids. And then the night before last I got on the phone saying 'I want to speak to my kids' and I was handed the phone to this man who said he's 'the man of the house' now and he refused me to speak to my children."

Andre also claimed, contrary to earlier reports, that he did not call Reid - who reportedly enjoys a bit of cross-dressing on the side - a "tranny and druggie".

"I didn't say... not even close to most of those words and I look at it and think it's a bit cheeky," he said.

Still reeling from the row, Reid vented his spleen on his Facebook page: "What's the world coming to when all you do is diplomatically stick up for your girlfriend over the phone and get called a f**, tranny and druggie who is out of his depth and crossed the line and also threatened to have his legs broken?

"I remained calm, though, despite continually being called a p**** amongst other things. Nice one Pete!"

A contrite Andre went on: "Now, I'm not perfect, I am human, I am a father and I don't know any father that would not react to some man saying 'no, you're not speaking to them', and I lost my temper - I admit it," he said.

warbler says his ex and Reid were playing a "ridiculous game", adding, "I'm tired of it. My kids are my life. Everyone knows the only way to push my buttons is to not let me speak to my kids. This man should not have come out here acting like dad."

The latest manbag-swinging farce comes hot on the heels of an interview Reid gave to OK magazine, where he claimed the former couple's son Junior "did actually once call me 'dad'".

"Of course, I corrected him immediately, I said: 'No, I'm not daddy, I'm Alex," he said.

"As much as I'd love to be his father, he has a dad. Pete is good with them, I would never dispute his skills as a father."
