KEY POINTS:
Actor Tommy Lee Jones will co-host the Nobel Peace Prize Concert for former US vice-president Al Gore - his college room-mate - and representatives from the UN's climate change panel, organisers said.
The annual December 11 concert in honour of the Nobel Peace Prize laureates draws world names in music and film as performers and is broadcast to dozens of countries.
This year's line-up includes Alicia Keys, Annie Lennox and Melissa Etheridge, who won an Academy Award this year for the song I Need to Wake Up, which featured in Gore's environmental documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
Lee Jones shared rooms with Gore at Harvard University and also delivered a speech at the 2000 Democratic National Convention, when Gore was presented as the party's candidate for President.
