John Mayer can't understand the fuss surrounding his relationship with Jennifer Aniston.
The pair were last week snapped sunbathing in Miami together.
The Gravity singer has reportedly been on several dates with the former Friends actress but has found it hard to deal with the focus on his private life.
He said: "Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control. This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don't fault him, I don't fault anybody, I don't fault you, I don't fault this or that. There are much worse problems in the world. Everything's cool!"
Mayer also told AP he gave the pics of the two sunbathing the "double thumbs up".
"You know what I did?" said Mayer, when asked about the photos. "I looked at it and I said, 'That's about right.' What am I going to say, 'That's not me'?"
Mayer is said to have sent Aniston flowers every day they spent together in Miami recently.
Mayer flew to Miami on April 23 to spend time with Aniston as she enjoyed a break from shooting new movie Marley and Me, alongside Owen Wilson.
