No. Consider Pottermore Presents an extension of the wizarding world Rowling poured into the original seven books. The kind of extended reading Hermione liked to do for fun for those who have already read the original series.
You can expect to find some information on familiar characters, though. The sinister Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher Horace Slughorn and Professor McGonagall both appear across two of the three Pottermore Presents books.
So is this new JK Rowling writing?
Some of it, but the majority has been previously written. While some has been published on Pottermore since the website launched five years ago, other bits of writing has been stashed away in the Pottermore archive since then. Some of this was written by Rowling, but other parts were taken care of by her Pottermore team.
Rowling has written chapters that have never been seen before, however. The chapters on McGonagall (in Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies) and Slughorn (Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists) are both brand new.
Pottermore's Anna Rafferty explained: "We read through everything in our archives, took pieces written by Rowling and the Pottermore editorial team, and sewed it all together."

How long are they?
Not very! The Pottermore Presents series is meant to be easily digested. Each book was written to be read in about an hour, with a word count of around 10,000 words.
Should they be read in any particular order?
Unlike the original Harry Potter series, you're not going to spoiler yourself by reading one of the Pottermore Presents ebooks before another. Just choose which you'd like to start with first!
