Jim Carrey has dropped out of the Dumb & Dumber sequel after reportedly growing frustrated by continuous delays and lack of studio support for the film.
The funnyman's representative has confirmed his departure, telling Entertainment Tonight the actor was "increasingly frustrated" by the lack of progress on the project and the lack of enthusiasm from movie bosses.
"I would have thought Dumb and Dumber To (sic) was a no-brainer,'' Carrey said.
The Mask star and Jeff Daniels were both attached to the sequel in April when the Farrelly Brothers announced they were working on a follow-up to the 1994 comedy about two dim-witted pals.
