KEY POINTS:
Former PM Jenny Shipley seems to have come out of hiding since her arch enemy Helen Clark lost the election to John Key - click here for photos of the PM and actors Sam Neill and Bryan Brown at the movie premiere of Dean Spanley on Wednesday night.
Out of the blocks on election night, Shipley was in the television studio giving comments.
More recently she went completely against her political colours and donned a bright red outfit when she joined hubby Burton collecting one morning on Broadway for the Heart Foundation - a charity she's committed to after her "event" in 2000.
What's more Shipley is no longer "Big Jen". She's lost a lot of weight and looks fantastic.
I tuned into a candid radio interview The Ship gave on little known station Big 106.2FM where she announced for her recent 57th birthday "Burt" had bought her two electric toilets for their yacht.
She also talked about her diabetic scare (hence probably why the weight loss) and her father sadly dying of a heart attack at just 52-years-old.
What's more she revealed the Shipleys are now planning their beautiful daughter Anna's wedding later this year. Big FM got quite a scoop.
Since her televised 'Intrepid Journey' to the African nation of Namibia last year, the Shipleys have set up the Namibian Education Trust and have raised some serious money for a school she fell for.
Jenny and Burton, who's manager of the New Zealand Breakers basketball team, live in an apartment near the Domain in Newmarket.
However, by all accounts she spends a lot of time overseas, particularly in China where her son lives and works in marketing, and where she sits on the board of one of China's biggest banks.
Also on Wednesday night, but in Cameron Brewer's neck of the woods in Newmarket, Angela Daniel had an event at her jewellery boutique on Nuffield St, Newmarket to celebrate her participation in Diamond Day at Ellerslie tomorrow. Here are some photos from the event.
