She was bubbly and vivacious at the red carpet premiere, oozing confidence as she flirted with co-star Joel Edgerton in front of fans.
But Jennifer Lawrence, 27, looked more reserved as she went to celebrate her Red Sparrow film alone at a post-premiere party in London on Monday night.
The Hollywood actress had admitted the previous evening that she was in 'single mode' and approaching a time when she would inevitably feel 'devastatingly lonely'.
Quickly changing out of her glittering red carpet gown, Jennifer fittingly slipped into a claret frock, in homage to the film's title.
The fitted pencil dress hugged her curves underneath a long tan coat, which took the shine off her second outfit of the evening.
With her hair still messy in a unkempt curls, Jennifer kept her beauty look as it had been earlier that evening, when she had graced the red carpet at the European premiere of the film in London's Leicester Square.
Pictured in front of the world's press, Jennifer was vivacious and enigmatic, entertaining her co-stars, including Joel with whom she shared a very tactile exchange.
He made her throw her head back in laughter, while they chatted with arms around each other's waists.
But Jennifer was candid about her single status in an interview with The Mirror, following Sunday night's BAFTAs.
She confessed: 'I am in the single mode where I am like, "Cool, I can do whatever I want and I can be alone and watch terrible TV."
'And then, of course, in a few months I will be devastatingly lonely and feel like I'm on some long waiting list. But I am not there yet.'
Jennifer reportedly signed off on her romance with Mother! director Darren Aronofsky, 47, for good in November, owing to their large age gap.
A source claimed: 'There is a huge age difference, and they are different people. Each has to look practically to the future.
'Jen has yet to figure out her life and how it will evolve. He has responsibilities in life that she has yet to experience. Each was infatuated with the other.'
Jennifer previously had relationships with Chris Martin, 40, and Nicholas Hoult, 27.
She had an on-off romance with the Coldplay singer from 2014 until 2015.
Jennifer was also in a long-term, on-off relationship with her X-Men: First Class co-star Nicholas Hoult from 2010 to 2014.
Perhaps contributing to her 'downcast' aspect, Jennifer had faced criticism from the British public over the weekend, when an 'inside joke' about BAFTAs host Joanna Lumley was not well-received.
Jennifer hit back at claims she was a 'rude', 'spoiled brat' after she was accused of acting discourteous when Joanna called her 'the hottest woman on the planet' and she said her words were 'too much.'
However, the actress said that she and Joanna, 71, were having an 'inside joke' that people just didn't get.
Talking to Ronan Keating on the Magic Radio Breakfast show, the morning after, Jennifer said she was keen to clear up some confusion and compared the situation to the Mean Girls movie.
She said: 'Everybody thought that I was being rude. But to be fair, I couldn't have just walked out after she was like, "Biggest movie star in the world!!"
'And I'd just walked out and gone "Thank you Joanna". It would have been like, "so you agree? You think you're really pretty!".'
