The trailer opens with Robbins and Aniston's characters chatting in their kitchen as he informs her that he going to South Beach for the weekend.
Unbeknownst to his wife, the corrupt real estate developer has filed for divorce from her and is meeting his mistress.
When his spouse is targeted by kidnappers who demand a one million dollar ransom for her, he sees it as an opportunity to get rid of her and refuses to pay.

However, things get even more complicated when his mistress gets involved and decides to help the criminals.
Speaking about the role, Aniston said previously: "It was just about really understanding internal abandonment that she was feeling in her marriage and also the abandonment of her own self in this sort of passionless, loveless life that she was living with no communication.
"It was really about getting really small and sort of numb."
The movie serves as a prequel of Jackie Brown with John Hawkes and Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) playing younger versions of the characters played by Robert De Niro and Samuel L. Jackson in the Quentin Tarantino film.
