Happier times, Jay Z and Kanye West accept the award for best group for The Throne at the 2012 BET Awards in Los Angeles
Kanye West and Jay Z have seemed frosty toward each other ever since West started romancing Kim Kardashian five years ago, the Daily Mail reports.
But the rift in the rappers' 16-year-long friendship became even more apparent when West complained about Jay during a Saint Pablo Tour date in Seattle on Wednesday.
"Don't call me, after the robbery, and say 'how you feelin?' You wanna know how I'm feelin? Come by the house!"
The Stronger hit maker was referring to wife Kim's October 3 $11m robbery in Paris that left her bound and gagged.
On Thursday a source told the Daily Mail's Page Six column that Jay has not made more of an effort to see the Gold Digger singer because he thinks the guy is a 'nut job.'
"Jay can't stand him," said the source. "He looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherf***ker he can tolerate in small doses. Kanye is a nut job. Everyone knows that."
And Jay Z, who is wed to singer Beyonce, has only 'tolerated' West for business reasons.
Their 2011 album Watch The Throne "made a lot of money," the music insider added.
"Jay was like, 'I'm gonna knock this out. We're going to do a tour to bring in millions of dollars. I can tolerate that,'" said the source.
And these days it seems as if Jay doesn't feel like West - who flaunts his relationship with the Kardashians and has become a designer with Adidas - is worth the effort.
"The reality is that Jay doesn't want that much to do with him. He likes his own space and is private. They're very much not the same person. Jay's immediate circle is very insular, and Kanye is just a guy who always wants something in the spotlight."
During West's rant he also said, "Bring the kids by the house like we brothers . . . Our kids ain't never even played together."
West also said that there will never be a sequel to his highly-popular 2011 collaborative album with Jay Z titled Watch The Throne, saynig, 'there will never be a Watch The Throne 2!"
The rant began as he cutoff his performance of Pop Style, which was originally supposed to be a collaboration between Kanye, Jay Z and Drake but in the album version it only ended up being the 29-year-old Canadian rapper.
He explained that Jay Z had vetoed the collaboration "because of some TIDAL-Apple bulls***."
The music service TIDAL is co-owned by Jay Z (and Kanye too) but Drake has a relationship with Apple.
"Bring the kids by the house like we're brothers. Let's sit down," West said.
Family was definitely on West's mind as he made the shocking revelation that his children - two-year-old daughter North and 10-month-old son Saint - have never played with Jay and Beyonce's four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
The Famous rapper said: 'I can't take this s*** bro. Our kids have never even played together.'
Kanye continued: "You know why because that's the reason why I wasn't on this song. I wasn't on this song because of Hov [Jay's nickname]. You didn't get what you were supposed to get because of some TIDAL-Apple bulls***."
He went on to explain what it was like in the studio and that Jay was excited that he and Kanye were collaborating again but there was another caveat.
The Yeezy singer explained, "Then Jay thought of it and out of respect for Meek Mill, he didn't want to be on the track. But then out of that paranoid, it went into TIDAL, some political s***, some s*** about percentages on songs."
Drake has had a longtime beef with Nicki Minaj's boyfriend Meek Mill, who also happens to be signed to Jay's record label Roc Nation.
Kanye also skipped his Watch The Throne hit with Jay Z, N**** In Paris, during the set.
The two have been collaborators for over a decade and a half as West helped revitalize the 99 Problems hitmaker's career by contributing to now legendary hip-hop album The Blueprint released in 2001.
Kanye even wrote a song dedicated to Jay Z - titled Big Brother - on his 2007 Grammy Award winning album Graduation.
