Hip-hop superstar Jay-Z has attempted to end speculation his wife Beyonce is pregnant with their second child, by telling a US radio DJ that the rumours aren't true.
Beyonce vented her frustration at ongoing reports suggesting she is expecting a sibling for 16-month-old daughter Blue Ivy by posting a scathing note on her Instagram page on Friday - but she stopped short at denying the claims outright.
"I can't stop the rumours from starting, and I can't really change peoples (sic) minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me," the message read.
The note was promptly removed, and she took to her other social networking account on Tumblr to share photos from the couple's recent trip to Cuba.
However, Jay-Z has now apparently told New York radio DJ Ebro Darden in an email that the rumours are false and blamed the news for the gossip.
