Jay-Jay Harvey completed her final show on The Edge Breakfast this morning after 23 years at the station.

Harvey announced her departure from the station last month, and the broadcaster is rumoured to be taking up a role at fellow Mediaworks station The Breeze in 2018.

The host shared an emotional farewell as her last show wrapped up on Friday morning.

"Thank you to The Edge listeners, everyone that has enjoyed our show - you are the most important people in my career, and everyone that works on the air.

"Merry Christmas, spread the love, stay positive, say only positive things. Good luck to you all over your holidays, and I'm looking forward to reconnecting with you all in 2018," she said. "Thank you for the wildest ride of my life."

Harvey separated from her husband and co-host Dom Harvey in August.

Megan Annear has been announced as Harvey's replacement on The Edge Breakfast, and will take up the role in 2018.
