Jane Lynch plans to collaborate with "everybody" when she hosts the Emmy Awards.
The Glee actress - who portrays tough-talking cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester in the Fox musical comedy - explained while she is openly gay, she won't be focusing her jokes and sketches at the ceremony on homosexuality and just wants to be "funny".
She said: "I'm a person, not just a gay person. So I don't focus on gay things like that. I just focus on good jokes and being funny.
"I've thought of every aspect of it, I'm very much collaborating with everybody."
As a first-time host of the Emmy Awards - at which she won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Glee last year - Jane admitted she is "humbled", yet nervous about presenting such a big ceremony.
